Why Choose JC’s Recovery?
There are many reasons why our Dallas clients tell us they chose JC’s Recovery. The first is often our caring staff. We have therapists, social workers, and more who are dedicated to your recovery and have helped thousands of others seek and find their motivations to make a change and remain substance-free. The second is our programs and services, including Christian-based counseling and alternative therapies such as meditation, yoga, and other exercise-based therapies. The third is our location, which is just far enough for people to feel they can truly focus on their recovery and not preoccupy themselves with outside stressors and influences.
If you are ready to seek recovery in our campus-like setting, we are prepared to help. For more information about JC’s Recovery, please call our addiction treatment hotline at 844-524-6873.
How Our Alcohol Addiction Treatment Program Works
Our alcohol addiction treatment program will typically begin after you have completed the detoxification process. Because alcohol detoxification can result in a severe medical condition called the delirium tremens, you must seek care at a hospital or medical inpatient treatment facility while you undergo proper supervision.
Once you have completed the physical withdrawal process for alcohol, you can begin the mental healing process to overcome your addiction to alcohol. At JC’s Recovery, we help you accomplish this by offering a variety of programs. These include one-on-one counseling, group counseling, and 12-step therapies, such as Alcoholics Anonymous.
Overcoming alcohol addiction is about recognizing how past traumas, mental health conditions, and negative thoughts keep you in a cycle of abuse. Our alcohol addiction treatment program focuses on how you can break this cycle and learn to adopt healthy behaviors that help you stay strong and resist the pull to return to alcohol consumption.
How Our Drug Rehab Works
At JC’s Recovery, we offer drug rehabilitation for those addicted to street drugs, prescription drugs, or both. We utilize a combination of therapies and, in some instances, medication treatments, to help you overcome your addiction. Specifically, we offer long-acting naltrexone (Vivitrol) injections. This is a medication that reduces cravings for opiate drugs and heroin and reduces the effects of the medications as a person to try and use again.
Our drug rehabilitation program offers therapies that include one-on-one counseling, group therapies, and more. We also provide treatments for those experiencing dual diagnosis, which is when a person has a mental health disorder (such as depression or anxiety) and a substance abuse addiction. The ability to treat both conditions in one place can dramatically enhance your health outcomes and overall sense of well-being.
What you will see about treatment at JC’s Recovery is that we are continually focused on holistic recovery by focusing on your body, mind, and spirit. Those three areas are so interconnected that they must all receive proper care and treatment for you to live a healthy and drug-free life. To accomplish this, we offer trauma assessments, mental health counseling, yoga, meditation, and other mind-body therapy techniques.
Choosing An Intensive Outpatient Treatment Center for Dallas Residents
We know that choosing outpatient drug treatment isn’t something you do every day. You have a lot of considerations to make, including what kinds of services you need and a location. Many people choose our Hollywood, Florida location because they like the idea of recovering somewhere further removed from Dallas.
There are several benefits to choosing an outpatient treatment center that’s away from the city you reside. Going out of town allows you to truly separate yourself from the stressors and reminders of your substance abuse. You can more fully focus on your rehabilitation and recovery in a new location.
We can help you find sober housing or another safe place to stay as you start your rehabilitation. We will also help you prepare for returning to Dallas when the time is right, and you feel mentally and physically prepared to go home.
What To Expect During Treatment
Many people choose outpatient treatment after they have completed a medical detox program or inpatient treatment. Others may prefer the outpatient treatment as their first stop if they feel they are stable enough in their recovery process to participate in outpatient rehabilitation.
Other than the 24-hour supervision an inpatient program provides, outpatient and inpatient treatments can be very similar. This is particularly true for a partial hospitalization program (PHP). Imagine this program type as if recovery is your full-time job. During this program, you will participate in a variety of programs throughout the day. These include:
- Daily one-on-one therapy sessions
- Group counseling sessions
- Family therapy sessions (if desired)
- Motivational speakers
- 12-step therapies
- Quiet times for reflection, meditation, and prayer (if desired)
Many of our clients enjoy that they can participate in daily activities, yet return to their residence at night to rest and prepare for the next day. We also offer additional outpatient programs as you progress in your recovery. These include an intensive outpatient treatment program, which allows you to work still part-time if you desire. This program is especially beneficial when you have family and work commitments, as many of our clients often do.
As you prepare to transition back to Dallas, we also provide outpatient treatments. These treatments, such as counseling and group therapy, are designed to help you engage in relapse prevention by recognizing relapse signs in their earliest stages.
What Does A Day Look Like at JC’s Recovery?
You can expect that a day at JC’s Recovery will have structure, which can be very reassuring during the rehabilitation process. Your day will likely begin with a good breakfast and some time for meditation or prayer, where you can focus your mind on the day’s activities.
Following this, you’ll likely participate in your first therapy session of the day. This may be a one-on-one session with one of our therapists or a group therapy session. These may focus on education about addiction, therapy techniques to help you recognize how your thinking and behaviors can keep you addicted, or ways to help you deal with past traumas and work through them. Each of these aspects is very important to your recovery and essential to help you move forward.
You can expect that between therapy sessions, you’ll have some time to reflect, take a deep breath, and simply relax. Then, it’s on to lunch and additional therapy sessions in the afternoon. Sometimes, we may have special motivational speakers who can come and share their personal stories of recovery or how they have helped others seek their recovery.
You can expect that each day will bring its own unique challenges and triumphs. This is all a part of growing in your recovery and enhancing your mental and physical health and well-being.
